As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Kentucky, Allison practices from a family systems and relationship focused perspective in her work with clients. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Anderson University and a Master of Science in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family therapy from Campbellsville University. Allison has experience helping children, adolescents and adults as well as their families. She is competent and caring in her work with individuals, families and groups including groups for early childhood disorders and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Allison uses a strength-based and client-centered approach along with evidence-based practice to assist her clients with a wide range of treatment issues including:
- Interpersonal conflicts
- Self esteem
- Improving communication
- Early childhood emotional or behavioral difficulties
- Grief and loss
Any of these concerns can be difficult to face alone and Allison provides a positive, safe and open space to work on these issues together. Her education and experience prepare her to be capable and welcoming to her work on her client’s journey toward healing.
Allison is also passionate about supporting the growth, expansion, and education of Marriage and Family Therapists and is an adjunct professor at the University of Louisville with the Kent School of Social Work’s Master’s program in Couple and Family Therapy and an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor In Training.
