
Kristin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Kentucky. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, she obtained a Master of Social Work from Indiana University with a concentration in School Social Work. Following graduation, Kristin moved to Colorado where she became board certified in Neurofeedback Therapy.
Kristin’s approach to working with others is to provide a genuine, warm, and trusting environment to support healing and change. She is passionate in empowering change from within, while using evidenced-based strategies to assist in the journey.
Kristin is experienced in working with children, adolescents, young adults and families facing various issues including but not limited to:
- Trauma
- Anxiety
- Depression
- ADHD
- Child and Adolescent emotional and behavioral difficulties
- School related problems
- Interpersonal relationship difficulties
Kristin is trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and TF-CBT (Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), which are frequently used as a foundation for clinical work. She is also certified to treat Juvenile Sexualized Behaviors.
Kristin is passionate in implementing a holistic approach to feeling healthy and frequently incorporates various brain-based strategies in conjunction with the traditional therapeutic approaches. She strongly believes with a flexible, wrap around approach, the best change can occur.
