Ashley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Evansville in Indiana and went on to obtain a Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work.
Ashley strives to create a safe, supportive space for her clients and believes that the overall therapeutic relationship is vital to success. She is passionate about helping her clients hone in on their inherent resilience and strengths and believes that each individual is the expert of their
own life. Using empathy, curiosity and humor, Ashley walks alongside clients as they navigate the journey towards the best version of themselves and a life worth living. Ashley takes a systems approach in working with clients and families to support her belief that the whole individual, along with the individual’s environment, must be taken into consideration in order to achieve long-lasting and meaningful change.
Ashley is experienced is working with children, adolescents, teens and families who are experiencing a wide variety of treatment issues, including but not limited to:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Suicidal ideation and/or non-suicidal self-injury
- Child behavioral/emotional regulation difficulties
- Identity development
- Self-esteem/self-worth
- Parent/child relationships
- Communication difficulties
- Stress management
- Anger management
To meet clients where they are and adapt treatment based on the client’s needs. Ashley utilizes a variety of treatment modalities, such as Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, play therapy techniques and expressive techniques. She is also trained in Collaborative Approach to Managing Suicide (CAMS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP).
Ashley is also a Social Work Licensure Supervisor and can provide supervision to CSWs in the state of Kentucky.
