Beth Truman  PMHNP, LCSW [she/her]

Beth Truman

Beth is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority in Louisville, KY. Prior to becoming a PMHNP, Beth was a dually licensed Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, focusing on family systems. She continues to maintain her LCSW and blends therapeutic techniques with medication management to identify your treatment goals and how she can help you achieve them.

With this in mind, Beth sees medication as a tool to help you achieve wellness. Beth will assist you in identifying additional tools including lifestyle changes or therapy referrals to improve medication outcomes. Beth focuses on the whole person to create lasting change.

Beth works with children (ages 6 and up) and adults. She has experience working with a broad range of populations experiencing depression, anxiety, mood concerns, irritability, and trauma. She is also experienced in diagnosing and treating ADHD across the lifespan. She is especially mindful of women who have been misdiagnosed with anxiety throughout their life and trying to discern an accurate diagnosis. She also has further training in prescribing for pregnant or postpartum women. This is a special time in your life deserves specialized, knowledgeable care.

Additionally, Beth’s therapy dog, Riley, accompanies her in sessions.
