As 2024 ends, I encourage you to take a few minutes to reflect on the highs, lows, and all the in-betweens. Doing so can foster gratitude for the things you have overcome, endured, and areas in which you’ve grown. It can also give you direction for areas in which you want to improve or grow in 2025. Focusing on what is working for you versus what is not can be an integral part of making next year what you want it to be!
Questions to ask yourself:
· What were the highs? What made them highs? How can I do more of this moving forward?
· What were the lows? What made these the lows? How can I re-direct from this in the new year?
· Where have I grown (personally, professionally, mentally, emotionally)? Are these the areas I want to continue to grow in?
· What challenges have I overcome? What tools did I use that helped me effectively navigate these? What tools were not useful?
· How did I start 2024 and how am I ending it? Did these approaches work for me? Why or why not?
· How do I want to go into 2025? Listing specific goals but also being flexible about the “how” and “why” of those goals is a great approach for many
Sometimes we are so busy with the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities that we don’t take the time to reflect on our growth. It is important to slow down and take time to process what you have experienced and ways you would like to continue improving yourself. Most of the time we put ourselves last, but today or this week take a few minutes to reflect on the year!
